LAND-TAX.

LAND-TAX AND GRADUATED TAX THAT WOULD HAVE BEEN PAID FROM 1894-95 TO 1904-5 ON ESTATES PURCHASED UNDER LAND FOR SETTLEMENTS ACT.

Return to an Order of the House of Representatives dated the 15th August, 1905. Ordered, "That there be laid before this House a return showing the amount of land and graduated tax paid in respect to each estate purchased under the Land for Settlements Act at the date of such purchase ; also the approximate amount that would have been paid in respect to each estate to the end of the last financial year, allowing compound interest at the rate of 4 per cent."—(Mr. Vile.)
