BIRTH-RATE DURING THE LAST TEN YEARS AND DEATHRATE OF CHILDREN UNDER FIVE YEARS (RETURN RELATIVE TO).
Return to an Order of the House of Representatives dated Thursday, the 30th June, 1904. Ordered, " That there be laid before this House a return showing—(l) The total number of births in the colony during the ten years ending the 31st December, 1903 ; and (2) the total number of deaths of children under five years of age during the same period, giving the proportion of male and female in each case."—(Mr. Arnold.)
