FIEST ANNUAL REPOET. The Supebintendent of TouHiST and Health Eesorts to the Hon. the Minister in Charge. Department of Tourist and Health Eesorts, Wellington, 30th June, 1904. Sir,— I have the honour to furnish the first annual report, in accordance with section 10 of " The Scenery Preservation Act, 1903." I have, &c, C. R. C. Eobieson, Acting-Superintendent. The Hon. Sir J. G. Ward, K.C.M.G., Wellington.

COMMISSIONERS APPOINTED. The only business transacted during the year was the appointment, on the 19th March, 1904, under section 2 of the Act, of the following gentlemen to be Commissioners : — S. Percy Smith (Chairman). ♦J. W. A. Marohant. H. J. Matthews. Hone P. Tunuiaeangi. W. W. Smith. The first meeting was held at Wellington on the 30th March, 1904.
