Sir R. Stout, Deputy Governor, to the Hon. the Speaker, House of Representatives. Sir,— Wellington, 22nd October, 1900. I have the honour to acknowledge the receipt of your resolution, praying to relieve Fiji from the position of a Crown colony, and to incorporate it with New Zealand. As requested by the members of the House of Representatives, I shall have pleasure in forwarding the same to the Right Hon. the Secretary of State for the Colonies.
