SAN FRANCISCO MAIL-SERVICE: AMOUNT OF SUBSIDY PAID TO THE UNION STEAMSHIP COMPANY DURING THE YEAR ENDED 31st MARCH, 1894.

Return to an Order of the House of Representatives dated Tuesday, the 31st Day of July, 1894. Ordered, "That there be laid before this House a return of the amount of subsidy paid to the Union Steamship' Company for the year ended the 31st day of March last, for the carriage of the New Zealand mails to and from San Francisco; and also of the several amounts paid to the same company, for the above-mentioned period, for the distribution of mails throughout the colony."—(Mr. W Hutchison.)
