AGREEMENT FOR INTERCHANGE OF TRAFFIC BETWEEN THE NEW ZEALAND GOVERNMENT RAILWAYS AND THE WELLINGTON AND MANAWATU RAILWAY FOR THE TWELVE MONTHS COMMENCING 9th MARCH, 1893 (COPY OF).

Laid on the Table of the House in pursuance of Section 172 of " The Public Works Act, 1882." No. 1. Mr. E. G. Pilcher to the General Manager, Wellington and Manawatu Eailway Company. New Zealand Government Eailways, Head Office, Wellington, N.Z., Sir,— ■ 23rd February, 1893. The agreement for interchange of traffic between your company and the New Zealand Government Eailways will expire on the Bth March proximo, and I have the honour, by direction .of the Eailway Commissioners, to request that you will notify them whether your company is agreeable to the continuation of the agreement for twelve months from the 9th March proximo. No. 2. The General Manager, Wellington and Manawatu Eailway Company, to the Commissioners, New Zealand Eailways. Wellington and Manawatu Eailway Company (Limited), Gentlemen, — Wellington, Ist March, 1893. I am directed, in reply to your letter of the 23rd instant as per margin (E. 92/1341-786), re agreement for interchange of traffic between this company and the New Zealand Eailways expiring on the Bth March ensuing, to state that it is the wish of this company to continue the agreement for twelve months from the 9th March. No. 3. Mr. E. G. Pilcher to the Manages, Wellington and Manawatu Railway Company. New Zealand Government Eailways, Head Office, Wellington, N.Z., Sib,— 4th March, 1893. With reference to your letter of the Ist March, I have the honour, by direction of the Eailway Commissioners, to inform you that they agree to the continuance for twelve months, from the 9th March instant, of the agreement for interchange of traffic between the New Zealand Government Eailways and your company.
