LAND FOR SETTLEMENTS. (RETURN OF BLOCKS OF LAND OFFERED TO GOVERNMENT.)

Return to an Order of the House of Representatives dated sth July, 1893. Ordered, " That there be laid before this House a return showing the various blocks of land offered to the Government under ' The Land for Settlements Act, 1892,' and not purchased by the Government, the return to show in regard to each block offered—(l) The date when the block was offered ; (2) the area of the same, and the provincial district in which it is situated ; (3) the price demanded, and the land-tax valuation of the same ; and (4) the reasons why the block was considered unsuitable."—(Hon.
