NORTH ISLAND MAIN TRUNK RAILWAY LOAN.

Return to an Order of the, House of Representatives dated 28th July, 1892. Ordered, " That a return be laid before this House showing—(l) The amount expended of the North Island Main Trunk Railway Loan (2) the total amounts of that sum expended and liabilities incurred on roads, rivers, surveys, and purchase of lands, &c, in each of the respective Provincial Districts of— (a) Auckland, (6) Taranaki, (c) Wellington ; (3) the amounts due under contracts at present subsisting in regard to the above; (4) the balance left of the above loan after deducting the amounts paid and accruing due under contracts at present existing."—(Mr. Palmer.)

Return showing—I. Total Expenditure out of £1,000,000 Loan. II. Amount Expended and Liabilities incurred on Roads, Rivers, Surveys, and Purchase of Lands in each Provincial District. III. The Amount due under Contracts in regard to same. IV The Balance of Loan at 31st March, 1892, after deducting Total Expenditure and Liabilities to that Date.
