Return to an Order of the House of Representatives dated 27th June, 1890. Ordered, " That a return be laid before this House showing the expenditure on account of salary and allowances to the Governor and maintenance of Government Houses, salaries of Cabinet Ministers, travelling and other expenses of such Ministers, maintaining the ministerial residences, the Legislative Council, the House of Representatives, and each department of tohe Colonial Government of New Zealand, being a reprint of Return 13.-16,1889, with particulars for the financial year ending the 31st March, 1890, added."—(Mr. Babron.)

Return showing the Expenditure in the Years 1860, 1865, 1870, 1875, 1880, 1885, 1886, 1887, 1888, and 1889, on account of Salary and Allowances to the Governor and Maintenance of Government Houses, Salaries of Cabinet Ministers, Travelling and other Expenses of such Ministers, maintaining the Ministerial Residences, the Legislative Council, the House of Representatives, and each Department of the Colonial Government of New Zealand, chargeable on the ordinary Revenue of the Colony.
