BLIND PERSONS KEPT AT VICTORIAN ASYLUM (RETURN OF), AT THE COST OF THE COLONY OF NEW ZEALAND.
Return to an Order of the House of Representives, dated 20tli July, 18SG. Ordered, " That there be laid upon the table a return of the number of blind children now kept at school in Melbourne either wholly or in part at the cost of the colony. Said return to give names, ages, and parts of the colony from which such children were sent."—(Me. G. ¥. RICHARDSON.)
Eetuen of Blind Persons now kept at the Victorian Asylum and School for tho Blind at Melbourne either wholly or in part at the Cost of the Colony. David Blakely, aged eighteen and a half years, from the Thames. Harriet James, aged nineteen years, from New Plymouth. Edward Lemmington, aged twenty years, from Wellington. Henry W. Brace, aged eighteen and a half years, from Wellington. John Sloan,* aged twenty-eight years, from Marlborough. Alfred Jones,* aged twenty-two years, from Nelson. Eobert Duncan, aged twenty-one years, from Southland. * Arrangements have been made for the return of Alfred Jones and John Sloan to this colony, the Superintendent of the school having recommended their discharge.
