EXPENSES INCURRED BY RAILWAY COMMISSION (STATEMENT OF).

Return to an Order of the Souse of Representatives, dated 2nd August, 1877. Ordered, "That a return be laid before this House showing the cost of the Railway Commission, and the expenses incurred by each member outside his regular salary —including railway and steamboat fares —and where the " Hineinoa " was engaged, her actual expenditure in stores, coals, wages, &c, during the trip." — (Mr. Burns.)

STATEMENT re COST OF RAILWAY COMMISSION.

Mr. Ciirruthers was only engaged on the duties of the Commission fourteen days, the remaining portion of his stay in Otago was on duties connected with his office.
