LANDS RESERVED FOR THE PURPOSE OF GRANTING THEM TO CORPORATIONS (RETURN OF).

Presented to both Houses of the General Assembly in pursuance of Section 351 of " The Municipal Corporations Act, 187 G."

SCHEDULE OF RESERVES.

[Gazette of 1877, page 529.] Reservation of Lands for the purpose of granting them to the Corporation of the Borough of Lyttelton. NoEitANBT, Governor. OEDEE IN COUNCIL. At the Government House, at Wellington, this eleventh day of May, 1877. Present: His Excellency the Goveenoe in Council. IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in him by the three hundred and fiftieth section of "The Municipal Corporations Act, 1870," and upon the request of the Corporation of the Borough of Lyttelton, His Excellency the Governor, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the Colony of New Zealand, doth hereby order that the lands described in the Schedule hereto shall be and the same are hereby reserved out of the waste lands in the Provincial District of Canterbury, for the purpose of granting the same to the Corporation of the Borough of Lyttelton aforesaid. SCHEDULE. All that parcel of land in the Provincial District of Canterbury, containing by admeasurement 400 acres, more or less, being Section No. 2180 (in red), situate in the Ashburton District. Bounded on the North-eastward by Section 2G928 ; on the South-eastward by the road south-east of that section; on the South-west by the continuation of the road south-west of Section 2G710; and on the Northwest by a line at right angles to the south-west boundary : so as to contain the above quantity. All that parcel of land in the Provincial District of Canterbury, containing by admeasurement. 1250 acres, more or less, being Section No. 21S1 (in red), situate in the Ashburton District. Bounded on the North-eastward by the road south-west of Section No. 27303; on the North-west by a line at right-angles to the north-east boundary drawn from the junction of aforesaid road with road south of Eeserve No. 1013 (in red) ; on the South-eastward by a line parallel to the north-west boundary drawn from the intersection of the south-west side of first-mentioned road by the north-west boundary of* Improvement Pre-emptive Eight H, on Eun No. 117, Class 3 ; and on South-west by a line at right angles to the south-east boundary : so as to contain the above quantity. In pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in him by the three hundred and fiftieth section of " The Municipal Corporations Act, 1876," and upon the request of the Corporation of the Borough of Christchurch, His Excellency the Governor, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the Colony of New Zealand, doth hereby order that the laud described in the Schedule hereto shall be aud the same is hereby reserved out of the waste lands in the Provincial District of Canterbury, for the purpose of granting the same to the Corporation of the Borough of Christchurch aforesaid. SCHEDULE. All that parcel of land in the District of Timaru, containing by admeasurement one thousand five hundred and ten (1510) acres, more or less, being Section numbered 2173 (in red). Bounded on the Southward by the Eiver Kakahu and Section 24193 ; on the Westward by Sections 20581, 22481, 25139, and 25140, also by a line in continuation of the eastern boundary of the latter section ; on the Eastward by Section 24193, also by a line parallel to the eastern boundary of Section 25140 drawn from the northernmost corner of said Section 24193 ; and on the Northward by Section 22481, also by a line at right angles to the western boundary, to include the required quantity. Save and except that portion of Section 27134 which is included within the above-described boundaries. All that parcel of land in the District of Timaru, containing by admeasurement seventy-five (75) acres, more or less, being Section numbered 2174 (in red). Bounded on the Eastward by Eeserve 2173 (in red) ; on the Southward by Sections 20582, 19980, and 25140 ; on the Westward by Section 24406, and a line in contiiruation of the eastern boundary thereof; and on the Northward by a line parallel to the southern boundary drawn from the point where the western boundary of this reserve meets the southern boundary of Improvement Pre-emptive Eight D, on Eun 548, Class 3. All that parcel of land in the District of Timaru, containing by admeasurement fifty-four (54) acres, more or less, beirrg Section numbered 2175 (in red). Bounded on the Southward by Eeserve 2174 (in red) ; on the Eastward by Eeserve 2173 (in red) ; on the Northward by a line in continuation of the northern boundary of the latter reserve ; and on the AVestward by a line parallel to the eastern houndary drawn through the south-eastern corner of Improvement Pre-emptive Eight D. on Eun 548, Class 3. All that parcel of land in the District of Timaru, containing by admeasurement thirty (30) acres, more or less, being Section numbered 217G (in red). Bounded on the Eastward by Eeserve 2175 (in red) ; on the Northward by a Hire in continuation of the northern boundary of that reserve ; on the Westward by Section 24105, and a line in continuation of tho eastern boundary of said section ; and on the Southward by a line at right angles to the western boundary drawn through the north-eastern corner of Improvement Pre-emptive Eight on Eun 548, Class 3. All that parcel of land in the District of Timaru, containing by admeasurement two hundred and fifty (250) acres, more or less, being Section numbered 2177 (in red). Bouirded on the Westward by Eeserve 2173 (irr red) ; on the Northward by the road south of Section 27134 ; on the Eistward by the road running through Section 7012 ; aird on the Southward by Sections 7012 and 2527, also by a line in continuation of the northern boundary of the hitter section. Save and except Sections 7241 and 15450, which are included within the above-described boundaries. All that parcel of land in the District of Timaru, containing by admeasurement twenty-five (25) acres, more or less, being Section numbered 2178 (in red). Bounded on the Westward by Section 27134; on the South-westward and South-eastward by the continuation of the road south of Section 27134 ; and on the North-eastward by the road north-east of that section. All that parcel of land in the District of Timaru, containing by admeasurement fifty-six (50) acres, more or less, being Section numbered 2179 (in red). Bouirded orr the Westward by Eeserve 2173 (in red) ; on the .South-westward by the road north-east of Section 27134 ; and on the North-eastward by a line at right angles to the general direction of the above-mentioned road, to include the required quantity. SCHEDULE. All that parcel of land in the Provincial District of Otago, in the Colony of New Zealand, containing by admeasurement two hundred and twenty-eight (228) acres and two (2) roods, more or less, situate in the Awamoko District, being Section numbered thirty (30), Block three (3), on the map of the said district. Bounded towards the North and North-east by the Waitaki Eiver, thirteen thousand two hundred and fifty (13250) links ; towards the East by a road line, eight hundred and sixty (8G0) links; towards the South-west by Sections numbered respectively 18,19, 20, 21, 22, 23, and 24, eleven thousand four hurrdred and thirty-nine (11439) links; and towards the West by Block numbered four (4), Maruwenua District, two thousand six hundred and sixty (2660) links, and intersected by a road line one hundred (100) links wide. In pursuance and exercise of the power and authority vested in him by the three hundred and fiftieth section of "The Municipal Corporations Act, 1876," and upon the request of the Porough of Kaiapoi, His Excellency the Governor, by aird with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the Colony of New Zealand, doth hereby order that the land described in the Schedule hereto shall be and the same is hereby reserved out of the waste lands of the Provincial District of Canterbury, for the purpose of grantirrg the same to the Corporatiorr of the Borough of Kaiapoi. SCHEDULE. All that area in the Provincial District of Canterbury, containing by admeasurement two thousand (2,000) acres, more or less, being Sections numbered two thousand one hundred and eighty-four (2184) (in red), two thousand one hundred and eighty-five (2185) (in red), two thousand one hundred and eighty-six (2186) (in red), and two thousand one hundred arrd eighty-seven (2187) (in red). Bounded towards the North by Sections numbered twenty-seven thousand three hundred and ninety-three (27393) and twenty-seven thousand three hundred arrd ninety-four (27391) ; towards the East by Sections numbered twenty-seven thousand four hundred and ninety-four (27494) and twenty-seven thousand three hundred and thirty-five (27335), and a road line; towards the South by Crown lands ; and towards the West by road lines and Crown lairds, save arrd excepting Section numbered oue thousand three hundred and ninety-nine (1399), situate in Section numbered two thousand one hundred and eighty-five (2185); as the same is delineated on the plans deposited in the Provincial District Survey Office, Christchurch. Bounded towards the North-east by a road line one hundred (100) chains, and by Section numbered twenty-seven thousand

nine hundred and sixty-eight (27968) sixty (60) chains; towards the South-east by Section numbered twenty-seven thousand nine hundred and sixty-eight (27965) twenty-six (26) chains, and by a road line one hundred and sixty-seven (167) chains; towards the South-west by Crown lands sixty (60) chains and one hundred (100) chains; and towards the North-west by Crown lands ninety-two (92) chains, and a road line one hundred (100) chains ; be all the aforesaid distances more or less. Save and except one (1) acre around Trigonometrical Station numbered four (4), situate in Section numbered two thousand one hundred and ninety-nine (2199), as the same is delineated on the plans deposited in the Provincial District Survey Office, Christchurch.
