NATIVE RESERVES ACCOUNTS, TARANAKI, FOR YEAR ENDED 30TH JUNE, 1875.

Presented to both Houses of the General Assembly by Command of His Excellency.

Mr. Paeeis to the TJndee Seceetaet, Native Department. Sib,— New Plymouth, 6th July, 1875. I have the honor to forward herewith my Native Reserves accounts for the year ending 30th June, 1875. In the case of the Half Town Reserve I had to distrain for nine months' rent. The lease expired on the 30th June, still leaving six months' rent due, which will have to be sued for, as there is nothing to distrain upon on the land. There are also two other tenants who are back in their rent. Reserve H, there is one and a half year's rent due on the 30th June, but the improvements and buildings will more than cover back rent. Penwarden, tenant of part of Reserve No. 5, owes nine months' rent to 30th June, having paid six months' rent since that date, which does not appear in these accounts. I have, &c, R.
