BANK BALANCES at Close of Business on 24th August, 1872, after paying off on 23rd Instant £100,000 to Trust Fund and Bank for Deficiency Bill and Overdraft.
STATEMENT of the present Position of the Consolidated Fund Branch of the Public Account, with probable Receipts and Requirements to 31st October, 1872.
MEMOEANDUM No. 120. 28th August, 1872. Ok the 23rd instant the Colonial Treasurer paid the sum of £40,000 into the " Public Account," at the Bank of New Zealand, in redemption of a Deficiency Bill in aid of the Consolidated Fund. On the same day, the Colonial Treasurer paid to the Bank of New Zealand the sum of £00,000, in discharge of an overdraft in aid of the Consolidated Fund.
