RETURN OF THE AMOUNT OF REVENUE COLLECTED UNDER "THE GOLD DUTY ACT, 1858," ETC.

(Return to an Order of the House of Representatives dated the 2%rd day of August, 1871.) That there be laid upon the Table of this House—" A Keturn of the Amount of Eevenue collected ■ under " The Gold Duty Act, 1858," " The Gold Duty Act, 1870," the Mining Companies Acts, 1865 and 1809, " The Gold Fields Act, 1866," and the several Gold Fields Acts passed by this House since 18GG, and any Regulations made in conformity with the said Acts, for a period of three years, ending 30th June, 1871, in the Province of Otago. The Eeturn to show, in detail, the amount collected in each District of the said Province, under the following heads: —Miners' Eights, Business Licenses, Eents and Fees for Water Races, Sluices, &c. ; Gold Mining Leases, Rents and Royalties; Registration Fees, Miscellaneous Receipts, Fees a.nd Fines, Wardens' Courts; Gold Duty."
