I have thought that I should best fulfil this pleasing duty by transmitting the book to you through the Agent for New Zealand, which I have done, and by acquainting you with the interest which the Queen has evinced in the Library of the General Assembly, an interest which, I am well aware, will command the gratitude of both Houses of that Assembly. I have, &c, The Hon. the Premier, Wellington, New Zealand. G. Geey.

I have great pleasure in stating that the Book has been received and duly forwarded to the Library. Copies of your letter will be presented to both Houses of the General Assembly, who, I feel certain, will express in a fitting manner their sense of the interest which Her Majesty has evinced in their Library by the presentation to it of this work.
