I have thought that I should best fulfil this pleasing duty by transmitting the book to you through the Agent for New Zealand, which I have done, and by acquainting you with the interest which the Queen has evinced in the Library of the General Assembly, an interest which, I am well aware, will command the gratitude of both Houses of that Assembly.
