AIRMEN MISSING

CROSS-COUNTRY FLIGHT CRASH OF ANOTHER MACHINE (By TelojrrapU.—Pres# Association) WELLINGTON, Thursday Two airmen of the Royal New Zealand Air Force were reported overdue on a cross-country flight from the R.N.Z.A.F. station at Ohakea to Opunake and return. The overdue airmen are LeadingAircraftman Charles William Baker, son of Mr W. P. Baker, Russell, and Leading-Aircraltman Winston Stanley Cannell, son of Mr Percy Cannell, Peria, Matamata. An aircraft of the Royal New Zealand Air Force crashed into the bush behind Waikanae during crosscountry training today, but the sole occupant escaped without injury.
