WEDDING IN SUVA
ERICKSEN—HUNTLEY BRIDE FROM HAMILTON A wedding of interest to many residents of Fiji and New Zealand was quietly celebrated recently by the Rev W. E. Davies at Holy ProCathedral, Suva, between Kathleen Silvia, only daughter of Mr and Mrs H. R. Huntley, of Hamilton, and Allan Wilfred, only son of Mr and Mrs S. Ericksen, of Mokau, Taranaki. Mr Ericksen, who is a nephew of Mr and Mrs J. N. Pedersen, well known in Suva, attended the Suva Boys’ Grammar School during the time his parents resided in Fiji some years ago. The bride, who in the absence of her father, was given away by Mr |F. S. Baker, wore an ensemble of crocus blue with black accessories ;and carried a pretty horseshoe bou--1 ; quet of white daisies, Eucharis and St j Joseph lilies, the work of Mrs A. M. |L. Benjamin. The bridesmaid, Miss I Athoi Leaver, wore a floral georgette ‘frock and carried a Victorian posy in | pink and blue. Mr Laurie Glover was i best man. | The bride’s mother, who arrived with her daughter recently, wore a clover floral frock with navy blue accessories and carried a bouquet of petunias to tone. Flight-Lieutenant Ralph E. Dyer, New Zealand Forces, presided at the organ. After the ceremony a very happy evening was spent at the home of Mr and Mrs F. S. Baker, when many friends of the bridegroom and Mr and Mrs Pedersen were present. Many cables from New Zealand friends and relatives were read. Mr and Mrs Ericksen will reside at La mi, Suva.
