Text Books Out Of Date The need for a revision of school text books was the subject of a resolution from the Auckland Headmasters’ Association received at the Auckland Education Board meeting yesterday. The association stated it was again bringing to the notice of the department the fact that, although the association and over 100 headmasters from the chief primary schools of the Dominion had pointed out nearly 10 years ago that the text books in use had many defects and were quite unsuitable, teachers and pupils were still being handicapped by the lack of scientifically-graded text books containing suitable and sufficient exercises. The board decided to support the resolution.
