Goal-post Smashed Match abandoned owing to broken goalpost! There have been many reasons in the past for calling off a match, says a writer in a London paper, but it is doubtful if history records a parallel case to the finish of ihe Portsmouth v. Aldershot match. As Parker levelled the score at 2—2. the goalpost was smashed by Black crashing into it, and the referee had to call it a day.
