PUTARI’RU SALE Newton King, Limited report that at their Putaruru sale an extra large yarding of pigs, together with a medium entry of sheep and catlie came forward and met with a ready sale. In the sheep section woolly ewe hoggets sold to 30s with fat and forward 4-tooth wethers bringing 21s 10a; store wethers, 19s; shorn wether hoggets sold to 18s 9d; others. 17s to 17s lod. In the cattle section forward Jersey cows sold to £4_los; others, £3 15s to £4 ss; stores. £2 15s to £3 7s 6d; medium Jersey yearling heifers sold to £5 12s Gci others, £0 to £5 7s 6d. In the pig section stores and slips met keen competition, selling at values well ahead of recent sales. Fat pigs also met a icady sale, changing hands at late rates.
