END OF SUCCESSFUL SEASON There was a large audience at the Theatre Royal last night, when Sean O’Casey’s play, “The Star Turns Red." was staged for the last time by the Hamilton People’s Theatre. Though the theme of the play, the victory of Communism, again aroused much controversy, the play was recognised as an interesting example of a modern dramatist's work. The work of the players reached a very high standard, and they were frequently applauded, while at the conclusion, alter several “curtain calls,” there were loud cries for the producer, Mr Ronald Meek.
