MISSIONARY MEETING

The monthly meeting of the Frankton branch of the Presbyterian Women’s Missionary Union was held in the church hall recently, the president, Mrs C. L. French, being in the chair. Devotions were conducted by Mrs J. Allan. A study was then made of an article written on the Bolivian-Indian Mission. The Busy Bee organisers reported that the proceeds from the sale of work were £lO 11s, and members decided to entertain the children to afternoon tea at the close of the December meeting. It was resolved to donate £2 to the Christmas gift fund for Home Missionaries. A letter from the Maori Mission Field in grateful acknowledgment of an extra sack of clothing was read. At the close of the meeting a happy social hour was enjoyed.
