Mrs R. G. Phillips-Turner, Hamilton, spent the week-end at the Thames Coast.

Mrs A. J. Bland, Wanganui, is visiting Hamilton as the guest of her niece, Mrs B. H. Andrew's.

Mrs Mercer, senr., Dunedin. is visiting Mrs R. E. Mercer, Hamilton.

Mrs W. Miller has returned to Hamilton from a visit to her aunt, Mrs R. Thorsen, Te Kawa.

Mrs D. J. Houghton, Hamilton, is visiting Auckland. Mrs V. T. Browm, Hamilton, is spending a holiday at Mt. Maunganui.

Mrs Vivian Browne, Hamilton, is spending a short holiday at the Mount, Tauranga.

Miss E. P. Tennent, New Zealand Director of Red Cross V.A.D.’s, was in Hamilton yesterday.

Miss Mabel Baker, of Auckland, is visiting Hamilton, where she is the guest of Mrs H. Baker.

Lady members of the Taranaki bowling party visiting Hamilton this week include Mesdames J. Lobb, J. T. Pavitt, J. Mills, J. .Turnbull, J. Casey and E. Billing, of New Pl> - mouth, and Mesdames W. Cropp and Clarke, of Hawera.

The Whitiora branch of the National Party is holding an afternoon party in the lounge of the National Club on Friday, when Mrs Gould, of Auckland, will be the speaker.

The Hamilton branch of the Women’s War Services Auxiliary is compiling a register of the women power available in the Hamilton district, and registrations may be made from noon to 3 p.m. daily at the Home Guard Hut, Garden Place.
