SOCIAL NOTES
Mrs J. McMicken, wife of Dr. McMicken, formerly of the Waikato Hospital, is visiting her mother, Mrs J. Fraser, Rukuhia, prior to her departure for Australia to join her husband. Mrs E. V. Quick, Hamilton, spent the week-end at Mount Maunganui. Dr. Violet Hastings, dietitian, Auckland, will arrive in Hamilton tomorrow to lecture at a meeting organised by the Hamilton Health Society tomorrow night in the Regal Tearooms. Sh_e will be the guest of Mrs Andrew, Claudelands. Miss Gwen Amess, Stratford, has joined the staff of the Hamilton High School. Miss P. Dempsey has returned to Stratford from a holiday in Hamilton. Miss Patti Bluett was again successful at the Waihi Agricultural and Pastoral show, gaining four firsts and one second. She is now the holder of the under sixteen Tennant Shield
