HOMING PIGEONS
THE HAMILTON CLUB The Hamilton Homing Pigeon Club commenced the first race of the second series on Saturday from Taumaranui. The birds were liberated by the stationmaster in overcast weather with a north-east wind prevailing. Results::—H. Brown’s “ 364,” 964 yards, 1; C. Crabb’s “ 145,” 953 yards, 2; L. Cooper’s “ 5,” 936 yards, 3; W. Grace’s “ 368,” 928 yards, 4. Next week’s race will be flown from Ohakune.
