DEATH IN LONDON
MR WWERN WILSON FORMER MAGISTRATE SERVICE IN HAMILTON A well-known figure in Hamilton judicial circles for some years, Mr Wyvern Wilson has died in London at the age of 64. Mr Wilson, who was born at Gisborne, was a son of the late Mr J. A. Wilson, Judge of the Native Land Court, and a grandson of the Rev. J. A. Wilson, of the Church Missionary Society, who arrived in New Zealand more than 100 years ago. After practising as a barrister and solicitor at Hawera, Pahiatua and Auckland Mr Wilson was appointed stipendiary magistrate at Nelson in 1911, when he was only 34. Following appointments at Wanganui and Christchurch he came to Hamilton in 1926. In 1933 he succeeded Mr E. C. Cutten as senior magistrate in Auckland, where he was stationed until his retirement a little over three years ago, when he left for England. Mr Wilson is survived by his wife and one daughter, Mrs Reynold Boyd, of London.
