FURTHER HEAVY RAIN
IMPROVEMENT TOMORROW Further heavy rain with an improvement from the west tomorrow is forecast by the Government meteorologist in a special forecast for the Auckland Province. Fresh to strong easterly winds, possibly reaching gale force in exposed positions, can be expected. The winds will later turn to southerlies. A cyclonic disturbance is centred near Whangarei and is moving in a southerly direction. Temperatures will be moderate and seas rough.
