FAREWELL PARTY

MISS A. BURTON HONOURED Mrs W. Whitehead was hostess on Thursday night at a party given in honour of Miss Alma Burton, who leaves shortly for Sydney. The function was held in Mrs Myra Booth s studio and the large number of friends present spent a happy evening in competitions and community singing. Items were given as follows: Solos, Miss Alma Burton and Mr K Eade; duets, Messrs W. Whitehead and D. W. Reid; radio tap, Mr B Ross. Among those present were:—Mesdames M. Booth, W. Whitehead, K. Eade, A. Cope, M. Burdis, C. Wilson and Z. Fahey. Misses Alma Burton, Ann Johansen, Phil Kear, Shirley Burton.
