BRIDGE PARTY
WAIKATO LYCEUM CLUB The Waikato Lyceum Club held its first bridge party of the season on Thursday, when there was a good attendance of members, eager to commence once more this fascinating pastime. The lounge was beautifully arranged with bowls of hydrangeas, zinnias and spindleberries. Mrs W. Adams was the successful player in contract, and auction was won by' Mrs T. J. Shaw. The hostess, Mrs T. A. Burtenshaw, was wearing a charming gown of navy floral georgette. Those present were:—Mesdames J. Gordon Smith, Harold Baker, J. R. Henderson, N. H. Hooker, S. J. Sheaf, L. Reid, W. J. King, N. R. Rawlings, Clive Henry, Guy Burn (Dunedin), L. Simpson, L. J. Mark, S. Meltzer, W. Adams, L. G. Wooller, A. E. Sandl'ord, J. F. Strang, A. H. Tompkins, F. Thorne, T. J. Shaw, G. Seifert. Misses E. Murray, G. Eggleston.
