The Third Reich’s hour of final victory will come,” said Hitler in a speech at Linz. He declared that the present struggle would not differ by a hair’s breadth from the successful ending to the FrancoPrussian war of 1870. “ Mr Churchill a year ago was not quite clear about the firmness of the people of my home (Austria),” continued Hitler. “1 assured him that the time would come when he would know better. This time has arrived. “England lias got its lesson, and I am of the impression that the firmness of the British brigades is not greater than that of the Ostmark battalions in Norway and France.”
