COROT AND JUNE TIDE TRIALS FOR PAERiOA Several Interesting- efforts were recorded at Ellerslie yesterday in the final trials Tor the Ohlnemuri meeting: over the week-end, among- those to please riiost being- Corot and June Tide. The No. l grass was in use and provided lazt going. Corot (Messervy) hit out very attractively over hair-a-mile in 48 2-ss, easily accounting lor Paint (Mr C. Taylor), who had jumped away clear or him. Corot is in great heart lor pending engagements. Another smart hair-mile was that or June Tide (Bartels). who recorded 49 l-ss. Other gallops were: Three rtirlonge: British Mint, 3*B 2-ss; Venture, 40 i-ss; llappicoat, 41 4-ss; Lady Reynard, 4l 4 - ss. Four lurlougs: Red Appellant, 53 l-ss; Last survey, 52 i-sz; Grey Wing and Balashiol, 52 l-ss; Cherry’s Ticket, 50 l-ss; Hunting King, 535; Sortly, 50s; Vual-sstar, 5 1 3-ss; Miss Valerie on tlie tan, 57 2-ss; Lady Yjxeii, on the tan, 54 3-ss; and Val* mini, on the tan, 55 1-ss. Five lurlongs; Landveyor, assisted by Rronzo over the last three, in 375, 1.4. Six Turlongs: White Mark, 1.17 4-«5; Hnckriw.hmldt, 1.19; Kadina, ou the tan, 1.25 3-5. Seven furlongs: The Pacifist, i. 32 1-5; Brazilian and Night Hawk, 1.32. Royal Ai«pellant and British Talent on the tan, I.f t 1-5. Once Round.—Tea Gong, 1.59 3-5. TAKANINI TRACK BRAZEN BOLD IMPRESSES ARVAKUR ALSO PLEASES Brazen Bold drew further attention to his ■sprint prospects at Paeroa when he hit out attractively over nve rurlongs at Takanini yesterday when the going on the middle grass. 241 t. out, was in splendid order. 111 association with Queen City he ran five lurlongs in 1.3 1-5, alter cutting out tne first two in 2 3 3-ss. He appears to have rurther improved since the PuKekohe meeting. Arvakur impressed more than Mysito over live rurlongs in 1.4 3-5. and Palustre, carrying a good weight, recorded similar time. Vourlooper ran 1.4 4-5 and Hlneiti beat Cornish In 1.6. Kawariki went 1.6 2-5 and Biddy Girl, 1.4 3-5. Route March was doing better than
