Mr W. Goodfellow, managingdirector of Amalgamated Dairies, Limited, is visiting the South Island.
Captain J. Oliphant, M.C., Afrea Officer No. 4 (Hamilton) Military District is visiting the southern parts of his district.
Messrs S. L. Paterson, S.M., A. E. Manning and R. Coulter, as the No. 2 Armed Forces Appeal Board, considered appeals at Te Aroha yesterday.
Dr. Julius Stone, professor of law at the Auckland University College, was yesterday admitted by Mr Justice Blair as a barrister of the Supreme Court of New Zealand on the motion of Mr A. H. Johnstone, K.C.
Mr W. L. Newnham, engineer-in-chief of the Public Works Department, and the assistant engineer-in-chief, Mr T. M. Ball, have been appointed chairman and deputy-chair-man respectively of the Main Highways Board.
