RELATIONS WITH ENGLAND MR BARNARD’S REPLY (By Telegraph.—Press Association) WELLINGTON, Thursday The Hon. W. E. Barnard. Speaker of the House of Representatives, stated today that in his capacity as president of the New Zealand Institute of International Affairs, his attention had been drawn to the remarks Mr Frank Milner, reported from a public meeting held at Oamaru. “As the book, ‘Contemporary New Zealand,’ was published in the middle of 1938 and most of it was written in 1937.
