MORRINSVILLE CHILLERS JUDGE PRAISES QUALITY FIELD DAY AT HOROTIU Entries in the fat cattle classes from the Morrinsvilie Show were judged on the hooks at the Horotiu freezing works of the Auckland Farmers’ Freezing Company, Limited, yesterday. A field day was held in conjunction with the judging and a party of 70 farmers was present. Mr H. Kneebone, supervising grader of the company, praised the standard of quality of the entries. In the record National Chilled Beef Championship class, he said, the entries on the whole, as far as weight and quality were concerned, were as fine a line as he had ever judged. The evenness was very pleasing and there was very little excess fat. In the freezing steer class, apart from some cattle being overweight, the quality was of a very high standard. : In the heifer class, the winning carj case was outstanding for quality and j type. . Some entries, however, were | just a little heavy. I The visiting farmers were the i guests of the Auckland Farmers’ I Freezing Company at luncheon when j they were addressed by Mr H. E. I Worsp, chairman of the company, and j also a member of the New Zealand Meat Board. j The appreciation of the visitors was ; expressed by Mr F. Smith, of Mori rinsville.
