AIR RECRUITING
DISPLAY IN HAMILTON BY BAND AND AEROPLANES The plan for stimulating recruiting for the Royal New Zealand Air Force, by which squadrons of aeroplanes and the Air Force Band will visit most of the important centres in the Dominioh, was referred to at the meeting of the Hamilton Borough Council last night. Wing-Commander C. C. R. Johnston, writing for the Air Force Member for Personnel, Air Headquarters, Auckland, advised that the Selection Committee of the Royal New Zealand Air Force would be visiting Hamilton for the purpose of interviewing applicants lor service on Monday and Tuesday. March 17 and IP*. The band of the Air Force would parade in Hamilton on Monday at 1 p.m. f marching along Victoria Street. Between noon and 1.30 p.m. a formation of aircraft would lly over Hamilton. It was added that two officers from Air Headquarters, Wellington, who are in charge of the campaign, would confer with the Mayor and town clerk on Thursday, March 13, to discuss any necessary details. The council approved of the tentative arrangements and referred the matter to the Mayor and town clerk.
