Roots for Pigs More root feeding trials with pigs are to be carried out at the Ruakura Animal Research Station this winter. Last year's trials yielded some very interesting data and this winter it is hoped to obtain additional Information In regard to the feeding of sugar beet The pigs are eating the sugar beet with avidity, showing a partiality for the tops. An experiment with the feeding soft turnips had to be discontinued because the pigs showed little inclination to eat the turnips and were noticeably losing condition.
