BRIGADE TRAINING
ACTIVE SERVICE CONDITIONS (By Telegraph.—Press Association) TIMARU, Tuesday The war was carried-into the South Canterbury district to-day when a large body of men of the Territorial Force took part in manoeuvres against an enemy comprising two companies of various Territorial units which had been training at Burnham. Aeroplanes co-operated with the enemy by keeping in touch by wireless and reporting the movements of the brigades. This is the first occasion on which units have worked together,, and the operations were designed to train the various units to work as part of a brigade under brigade control and under active service conditions.
