Out-patient Scheme

A decision not to introduce free out-patient treatment under the State medical service scheme until the Government brings down its regulations for the service, was reached at the Auckland Hospital Board meeting last night. An amendment that the board co-operate with the Government in bringing the service into effect, which was moved by Mrs M. M. Dreaver, was rejected by 8 votes to 3, only Dr. J. P. Hastings, Mr J. Sayegh and Mrs Dreaver supporting it.
