OSTLER CASE APPEAL
HEARING OF ARGUMENT CASE FOR NEXT MONDAY (By Telegraph.—Press Association) WELLINGTON, Monday The Court of Appeal made fixtures for the hearing of several appeal cases this morning for the sessions which will commence to-day. Among them is the appeal by Ostler and Christie, which has been set for hearing on Monday next. At the making of fixtures tfie Chief Justice, Sir Michael Myers, said that .the Registrar had had letters from Ostler and Christie and stating that they wished to have a fixture for the argument of their appeals. He said every facility should be given to enable them to present their cases to the court. Mr H. Taylor, for the Crown, said he understood that arrangements j had been made to enable them to t come to Wellington to argue their | cases. | Harold Alexander Ostler and j Travers Burnell Christopher Christie *are serving terms in prison after i their conviction on a charge of at- ; tempting to publish a subversive | statement. The hearing of the ap- | peal made by the two accused will |be at Wellington on March 10.
