SOUTH AUCKLAND CENTRE CHAMPION OF CHAMPIONS SINGLES The South Auckland Centre’s champion lor champions singles competition mjis completed, so far as group play was concerned, on Saturday, wnen 11. Morris (Frank ton; 27, defeated E. Coe (Hamilton East), 14; Raglan and Leamington representatives defaulted; A W. Webber (Claudelands) 18, defeated N. McKarlanc (Cambridge), 14, and N. Robinson (Hamilton), 18, defeated G. Burton (Whitiora), 16 on the 22nd head. Webber, 21, defeated Robinson 15. HAMILTON WINS “ THOMSON SHIELD MATCH (Special to Times) AUCKLAND, Monday The annual bowling matches lor the Thomson shield and inter-club games between tbe Hamilton and Carlton Clubs were played at Carlton on Saturday. Four rinks competed for the Thomson Shield. Tne Hamilton Club won the shield from Carlton by six games to two.
