SOLDIER HONOURED
PRESENTATION MADE ! Mrs J. McCauley gave a social | evening at her residence, Ngarua- ! wahia, recently, in honour of her ■ brother, Private Ernest Rimoldi. The [evening was spent in games, community singing and dancing, and much appreciated items were given Iby Mesdames J. McCauley and D. I Hill (Matamata), and Messrs H. Mc- { Cauley, R. Robinson and R. Brennan. ; During the evening, Mr A. Robin- | son, on behalf of Mrs McCauley, preisented Private Rimoldi with a founI tain pen, and expressed the wish of I all present for a safe return. Priivate Rimoldi suitably responded. | Among those present were:—Mesdames V. Barakat, A. Robinson, R. * Payne. D. Hill, J. Cryer. W. Capper. 1 P. Connolly. R. Gibb, Rogers (Auckland), W. Johnston, j Misses Laurcen Rimoldi, Joan I Hunter, Pat Miller, Val Payne, May Starnes, May Brennan, Betty Allen.
