GIRLS’ SWIMMING SPORTS

HAMILTON HIGH SCHOOL MANY EXCITING FINISHES The Hamilton High School was again favoured,with fine weather yesterday when the girls held their annual swimming sports in the school baths. There was a good attendance of parents and interested friends, and the swimming on the whole was of a very high standard, the events being run off briskly and most of the finishes being very close. The senior championship was won by N. Sutherland, with J. Wilson second and N. Storey third, and C. Maisey was the winner of the junior championship, M. McEwen and P. Innes-Jones being second and third respectively. The Past versus Present relay, which always attracts much interest, won by Past. The sports were under the direction of Miss Elspeth McNicol, sports mistress* who was assisted by the following teachers:—Miss C. Hogg, Miss M. Campbell, Miss A. M. Strong, Miss N. M. Dickie, Miss M. J. Reilly, Miss P. W. Woodroffe, Miss C. N. Hartill, Miss N. Stewart, Miss J. Maclaurin, and Miss N. Hartill. Mrs H. D.
