PRESBYTERY OF WAIKATO DIRECTOR’S ADDRESS The monthly meeting of the Pres- : bytery of Waikato was held on Tuesday, the Moderator, the Rev. S. W. Webber, B. Com., 8.A., presiding. j The Director of Missions, the Rev. ! D. N. Mac Diarmid, M.8.E., 8.A., re- j ceived a warm welcome. Mr Mac- i Diamid addressed the presbytery on j matters of missionary interest. The Rev. K. W. McKinney, M.A., : reported that the Rev. J. More had i taken up his duties in the Hauraki Plains Home Mission Station. Mr More was welcomed by the Moderator. An application from Mr Lee Andrew to be received as a student for i the ministry was referred to the Students’ Committee with power to act. ! The Rev. B. C. Nottage, 8.A., is to be inducted into the charge of Waikato East on Thursday, March 13. The induction service will be held at Matangi and will be presided over by the Moderator of Presbytery. Steady Progress The Rev. J. Haslop and the Rev. R. D. McEwan reported on their visit to the Kati Kati charge. The Commis- | sioners were able to report a steady j progress in all branches of the church j work. Minister, office-bearers and people were commended on the excellent work which they were doing in the interest of the Kingdom of God. Their application to build a small room at the rear of the Church Hall at Kati Kati was referred to the§ Property and Finance Committee. The Rev. D. Mclntyre reported that there were 110 children in the Leslie and Onehunga homes. These children were in addition to the children ' in the Dingwall Orphanage at Papa- | toetoe. The Rev. T. W. Armour, of Knox ! Presbyterian Church, Christchurch, I wrote, stating that he hoped to be in | Hamilton at the beginning of April. | It was decided to invite Mr Armour to address the Presbytery at the April meeting.
