HOME GUARD UNIT

ROTONGARO DISTRICT (Special to Times) HUNTLY, Wednesday. A meeting to organise tlie Rutongaro district unit of the Home Guard was held in the liotungaro Dull and was well attended. Mr K. Lowe presided. Major k. S. caldwell and Mr g. Smith, of the Huntly Home Guard, addressed the .meeting, explaining the aims and objects o-r the Guam movement. It was unaniniously decided to form a unit of the Guard. Enrolments totalling 4 9 were received. Mr E. iltickle was elected as leader.
