ARMY CHANGES

AUCKLAND PROMOTIONS (By Telegraph.—Special to Times) AUCKLAND, Wednesday Three important appointments, which carry promotion for the officers concerned, were announced yesterday by Northern Military District headquarters. In all cases the new rank is temporary. Lieutenant-Colonel D. E. Bremner, M. N.Z.S.C., General Stall Officer (First Grade), in the Northern Military District, has been appointed to command the Northern lield Force, vice Colonel R. A. Row, D. 5.0., N. who is on temporary duty overseas, and is promoted to the rank of colonel. Major H. C. Glendining, D. 5.0., N.Z.S.C., staff officer, No. 1 (Auckland) Area, has been appointed officer commanding administration, Northern Military District, and promoted to the rank of lieutenantcolonel. This post Is a new one and similar appointments have been made at the headquarters of the two other military districts. The third appointment is that of Major W. W. Dove, M.C., N.Z.S.C., General Staff Officer (Second Grade), Northern Field Force, to General Staff Officer j(First Grade), Northern Military District, vice Colonel Bremner. Major Dove has been promoted to the rank of lieutenant-colonel.
