TE RORE FUNCTIONS
GIFT EVENING The residents of the Te Rore district gave a gift evening in the Te Rore Hall recently in honour of Miss Thirza Butterworth and Mr Harry Brown, when the large attendance testified to the popularity of the young couple. Mr G. Finn, in asking the guests of the evening to accept the large array of gifts, extended good wishes from all present for their future happiness. i Miss I. Sifleet, on behalf of the Pii rongia Ladies’ Hockey Club, made a ! small presentation. Mr H. Brown ! suitably replied. The evening was spent in items and dancing, and Mr R. D. Ferguson kindly supplied the music. Items were given by Miss T. Butterworth | and Miss S. Bell, and Mr H. Allcock ! was master of ceremonies. | Among those present were:—Mesdames Butterworth. .T. Butterworth. Richards. G. Bell. W. McKinnon, H. J. Coxhead. A. Bell, Twidle, Lorimer, Sifleet. L. Godfrey, Anderson, Finn. Cavanagh, L. Marx. Misses T. Butterworth. S. Bell. L. Duncan. V. Coxhead. G. Bell, M. Bell, j W. Duncan, and E. Sage.
