Monday m indication that closer collaboration was pending between the Australian and New Zealand Governments in trade matters affected by war and in regard to the general security of the Pacific was given today by the Hon. Anthony, assistant Commerce and Finance Minister in the Commonwealth Government. Air Anthony said that the delegation was receiving every co-opera-tion from New Zealand. It was important that representatives of both countries should work in harmony to minimise the effects of any disorganisation of export trade. He expected his visit to lead to the establishment of an organised method of collaboration upon all mutual problems. Referring to the war Mr Anthony said the Pacific situation gave us no reason to believe that we would be left to live peaceably and we must prepare now for any emergency.
