RELAY CHAMPIONSHIPS FOR JUNIORS AND WOMEN Owing principally 10 petrol restrictions making it dimcult to get competitors to travel to the Auckland Centre’* provincial junior and women’s relay championships at Eden Park, Auckland, last Saturday afternoon, Hamilton was only represented by one team in the, junior championship and one in the women’s championship. Hamilton registered a win In the two miles junior relay, four competitors each running 880yd*, . the time being 8.4 5. In the women's contest, 4 40yds, each competitor running 110yds, Hamilton gained third place in the llrst heat, which was in 51 I-ss. The visitors failed to gain a place in the final, which was won by Mount Albert, winners of tbe first heat.
