OSTLER CASE MOVE RELEASE ON BAIL WANTED (By Telegraph.—Press Association) CHRISTCHURCH, Alonday A petition to the Prime Minister, the Rt. Hon. P. Fraser, asking for the release on bail of Harold Alexander Ostler and Travers Burnell Christopher Christie to allow them to prepare their case for the Court of Appeal has now been forwarded to Wellington. Ostler and Christie are serving terms in prison after their conviction on a charge of attempting to publish a subversive statement. The hearing of the appeal made by the two accused will be at Wellington on March 10. More than 1300 persons signed the petition. Most of the signatures came from Canterbury, but some were from the North Island and from other South Island centres.
